Refund Policy
Returns You have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible, your item must be in the same condition as received — brand new, unused, with tags, and in its original packaging.
How to Start a Return Contact me at jamie@theyorkshiresewingguy.co.uk with your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and your reason for return. Please do not send items back without first requesting a return — unrequested returns will not be accepted.
If your return is accepted, I'll send you a return shipping label along with instructions on where to send your package. Please note: return postage costs for non-faulty items are the responsibility of the customer.
Non-Returnable Items The following items cannot be returned:
- Cut-to-size fabric, interfacing, and similar materials — as these are cut and prepared specifically for your order, they are exempt from the standard right to return under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (bespoke/personalised goods exemption)
- Sale items
- Gift cards
If you're unsure whether an item is returnable before purchasing, please get in touch and I'll be happy to advise.
Damaged or Incorrect Items Please inspect your order upon arrival. If your item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, contact me immediately at jamie@theyorkshiresewingguy.co.uk so I can resolve the issue promptly. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected.
Refunds Once your return is received and inspected, I'll process your refund within 5 working days. Please allow a further 3–10 working days for your bank or card provider to credit your account — this is outside of my control. If it has been more than 15 working days since your refund was approved and you haven't received it, please contact me and I'll investigate straight away.
Your Statutory Rights Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
